LOVE OF LEAVES #GDP304

 Have you ever started making a card and in turned out totally different than you had in mind? That is what happened to my card in today's post.

I was inspired by the latest Global Design Project Challenge to Case the Designer, Keastin Kaeis:

I started out by laying strips of different colored cardstock on a piece of white cardstock, embossing it and then cutting out leaves with the stitched leaves dies.  These are my beautiful weaved leaves...

However, I decided to use the cut out piece to make my card for the #GDP304.

After cutting out the leaves on my striped & embossed piece, I adhered it to a piece of white cardstock and embossed only the leaves with the textured dies in the stitched dies set.  I then cut out a Night of Navy little leaf and glued the Hello sentiment and popped it up with a dimensional and added a double twine bow.

TWINKLE TWINKLE CHRISTMAS STAR

 All this week I am featuring cards using the Stars are Shining Bundle - stamps & punch.  On this pretty card I heat embossed on night of navy cards stock. I punched one large star out of the  Be Dazzling dsp (FREE ITEM IN THE SALE A BRATION CATALOG) with the coordinating Starlit Punch. I also used the new Gold Glimmer ribbon for my bow.  ENJOY!

STARS ARE SHINING

 I hope you were able to join me for my Weekly Live demonstration.  I talked a bit about the  new mini catalog & Sale-a-bration and created a 'Stars Are Shining' card. I earned the pretty 'Be Dazzling' Paper as a free choice from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  It's really pretty.

Daisy Lane

 It is such a beautiful day here in Michigan and while taking a walk I noticed my neighbors gorgeous garden of daisies.  That inspired me to make a card for a friend. 

 I punched out 2 daisy's per flower in white and adhered together and then stamped some daisy's using Daffodil Delight ink and cut out the centers to adhere to the middle of my white daisies. 

I stamped several fern leaves using Granny Apple Green ink in the bottom left, center area of my card front.  I stamped a fern, then stamped off until I had a nice area of ferns on my card.

Then I ran this piece thru the Dots embossing folder.

I popped up some and glue some of the daisies in place.

On a scrap of white I stamped Friend using Bumblebee ink. (I wanted it to be a bit bolder than my flowers)

I punched out the sentiment using the Double Oval Punch and punched out a scalloped oval in Bumblebee cardstock - To match my card base.

I also entered this card in the Global Design Challenge 303.  #GDP303
