Creating Beauty with Limited Supplies: Lasting Joy Stamp Set Inspiration

Today, I want
to share with you a special project inspired by the joy of crafting with
limited supplies. A dear friend and fellow crafter recently started her
stamping journey with just a handful of colors and a couple of versatile tools.
I decided to create three beautiful cards using the Lasting Joy stamp set to
show that creativity knows no bounds, even with a limited palette.
Card 1:
Blooms of Happiness
- Materials Used: Lasting Joy stamp set, Real Red
and Shaded Spruce inks, exposed brick embossing folder. Double Oval Punch.
- Inspiration: The vibrant red symbolizes
happiness, and the exposed brick adds a touch of warmth and texture.
- Recipe:
Base White 8 ½ x 5 1/2 scored at 4 ¼. Layer Red 5 1/4 x 4, White 5
x 3 3/4 embossed with Exposed Brick Folder. Scraps of Red & White for
Sentiment.
Card 2:
Shades of Nature
- Materials Used: Lasting Joy stamp set, Shaded Spruce & Flirty Flamingo inks, Layered Florals 3D EF, Exposed Brick EF, Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.
- Inspiration: Embrace the beauty of nature
with deep pink & green hues and intricate textures from the embossing
folders.
- Recipe:
Base White 8 ½ x 5 ½, scored at 4 ¼, Layer Shaded Spruce 5 x 3 ¾,
White 3 ½ x 4 ¾, Embossed with Exposed Brick EF, White 3 x 4 ¼ with
Layered Florals EF inked w/Flirty Flamingo Ink. Scraps of Shaded Spruce & White for
Sentiment and banner.
Card 3:
Sunny Greetings
- Materials Used: Lasting Joy stamp set, Real Red,
Shaded Spruce & Crushed Curry ink, Exposed Brick EF & Countryside
Corners Dies.
- Inspiration: Let the sunshine in with a
cheerful Red Flowers adding Crushed Curry to create a sunny and uplifting
card.
- Recipe:
Base White 8 ½ x 5 ½, scored at 4 ¼, Layer Shaded Spruce 5 x 3 ¾,
White 3 ½ x 4 ¾, Embossed with Exposed Brick EF, Red & White scraps
for Countryside Corners dies.
Tips for
New Stampers:
- Experiment with different
combinations of your limited supplies to discover new color harmonies.
- Don't be afraid to mix and match
stamp sets to create unique designs.
- The Layered Florals 3D & the
Exposed Brick3D embossing folders are incredibly versatile—try it with
various papers and inks.
Remember, the
key to crafting is to enjoy the process and let your creativity flow. Even with
limited supplies, you can create stunning cards that bring joy to both the
creator and the recipient.
