Merry Christmas. I thought I would share with you today what got me started in stamping. I saw this framed piece at a craft show 3 years ago....I kept circling it and looking at it and the crafter said, "I teach a class on how to make that picture and also cards." I went to the class and made this beautiful picture and kept going to her classes and that was my start to Stampin Up and stamping. (so thank you Julie Brancart!)
Another sneak peek ....This stamp is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and is called The Sky is the Limit. I embossed the plane and greeting (and just stamped the clouds.) Sending this card to my great nephew. (Stamp available Jan 5 2016)
Winter Birthday Card using the Stampin Up Sheltering Tree stamp set, Craft White & Chocolate Chip ink on basic gray cardstock. Matte & bow in Blackberry Bliss and a few Frosted Sequins.
A list of the supplies I used for this project are listed below.
I made these place setting tags as a hostess gift. I used the star framelits, various cardstock, gold metallic thread to add a little glitz and of course a bow made with gold cording trim. I used a gold marker to write the names. Cute!
I made this card for my mom....she is 92 and can't see very well anymore so my hope with this is she can see the dark color. I used Every Blessing stamp set with Night of Navy ink on Lost Lagoon cardstock.
SNEAK PEEK - This card was made with my FREE stamp set from the 2016 Sale-a-bration catalog. "What I Love" For those of you who are not aware of sale-a-bration it happens every year January - March and for every purchase of $50 you can pick a free item from the sale-a-bration catalog.
The Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration go live on January 5th. YAY!! Let me know if you would like a catalog. So this morning, I was running late - as usual - but I couldn't resist trying out this stamp - this card is simple but sweet. I love the font of the word Thank you. (I will definitely play with this set more when I have more time.)
It has been a busy holiday season for me of card making. (and I vow to myself next year I am going to start my Christmas card making for my family and friends in July!!!) LOL! Here is a small recap of some of my holiday cards.
I made & personalized these cards for my son & daughter. Dog for him and Cat for her. I had a lot of fun making them...I had to fussy cut out the pieces because I don't have the die cut but it was not difficult.
Today is going to be a very busy day....I have a long list of things to do...Make my Christmas Cards and get them ready to mail, make a YouTube video on my poinsettia card and finish decorating my house AND I told my sweet husband I would make Lasagne for dinner. Wish me luck! Come back tomorrow to see if I succeeded with my video. LOL! Until then here is a sweet tag set that is one of the year-end clearance items....was $21.00 now $14.70...great deal you might want to grab. Even if you are done wrapping - this is something you could use next year. (there is also a coordinating stamp set I listed below)
This is the card I designed for my Saturday morning class. I made this card using the Stampin' Up!Festive Flower Builder Punch and I was AMAZED at how easy it was and the beautiful flower it created. The black striped paper is actually vellum from the SUWinter Wonderland Designer Series Packwith a piece of whisper white adhered. You can use this punch alone or with the coordinating stamp set "Jesus is the Reason." For those that missed the class, on Monday I will be posting a YOUTUBE video on how I made this card. One more thing...this punch and stamp set can be purchased as a bundle which means you can save 15%. What do you think?

Quick Tag or Ornament using again that wonderful Sleigh Ride Edgelit die. Did I mention I will be using this die for my Christmas cards this year that I am mailing to family & friends. Yep, I really, really like it. LOL!
I made this YAY Bear card for my brother...I wanted to make him a card with the bear from the ThankfulForest Friends stamp set and it goes so well with the Woodlands Embossing folder (trees in the background) and you can never be too old for balloons right? I cut out the balloon and hat using the From the Herd stamp set.
Today's card is my Simple Saturday Stars with Scraps. Yep, I made this scraps of paper and the fabulous Stars Thinlits Die. (By the way now is the time to grab this Stars Thinlits Die while it is 20% off as part of the Stampin Up On-Line Extravaganza Sale. Ends Nov. 30, 2015) I also used theCurvy Corner Trio punch. (I am really likin' this punch lately.)
Making Spirits Bright card made using one of my favorites - the Woodlands Embossing folder and Among the Branches stamp set. (sold in a bundle - YAY!) I hope you like it. If you would like more instructions on how I made this card, please leave me a comment. My product list is below.
I made these Christmas Luminaries with vellum, stamped with Versamark using the Festival of Trees stamp set and heated with gold embossing powder. The Stampin Up Gold Satin Rbbon bow adds the final touch. Please leave a comment if you would like more information on how I made this project.
I love the way this card turned out! I have entered it the SUO Challenge #135 Fall Fun. Vintage Leaves creates beautiful natural looking leaves and you can do so many variations...from a plain green leaf to embossed and sponged leaves as I did here. The Winter Wonderland Vellum adds such a nice elegant touch. Great paper stack!!
This Screen Fold card was given to an amazing woman the day her book was published. It's an oldie of mine but is one of my absolute favorites. I love this sentiment..."She Believed she could so she did" What do you think?

I was recently contacted by person new to stamping and she asked "what is a framelit?" She was watching my YOUTUBE video on how to make my Santa Ghirardelli Candy Holder and was not familiar with the Deco Label Framelits which shaped the Santa body. Framelits are a wonderful tool that perfectly cut out stamped images in all kinds of shapes and sizes. They are thin metal shapes with a raised edge and when rolled through the Stampin Up Big Shot with a piece of cardstock or designer series paper (DSP) will easily and perfectly cut the shape. They can be used as a back drop (giving a matted look) or you can use them in many other creative ways. Here is a picture of the Deco Label Framelits. JOY Christmas Card using SU Wonderous Wreath StampBundle. This is a 3 step stamp. I embossed each step, 1st in Gold Embossing Powder, 2nd in Silver Embossing Powder 3rd in Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder. I cut out the wreath with the coordinating SU Wreath Thinlits Die and popped it up on a a gold glimmer paper matte and a black card base. The sentiment is also part of this set and is cut out of Gold paper. Final touch a little red bow.
This is a very simple card made using the Festival of Trees stamp set. I know I have said this before but I really like this stamp. I like it because you can use it as simply as you want or really fuss with it. I stamped the trees in Garden Green ink and punched it out using the Tree Punch. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Lots of Joy stamp set. I added a little texture with a snowflake edgelit.
Every Blessing is the Stampin' Up! stamp set I used to create this card. Stamped with Versamark and heated after sprinkling with Gold Emboss Powder I then cut out the scene using the Stars Framelits Die and popped it up with some Dimensionals. The white matte card was textured with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and a small piece of Gold Vellum was added using Glue Dots.
Here are the card measurements: Base: Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" Matte: Whisper White: 5 1/4" x 4" (I also added a matte inside-optional) Vellum: 5 1/4" x 2" Scrap of Whisper White for Stamping scene Sentiment 3" x 1"
Autumn Wishes uses the Woodland Embossing Folder along with the Among the Branches stamp set. (These two can be purchased as a bundle) I love the colors of the leaves, Perfect Plum, Garden Green and Delightful Dijon and Tangerine Tango. The branches were sponged with Soft Suede. The sentiment was stamped and punched with the 2" Circle Punch. A little twine bow and it's done.
Here are the supplies I used for this project. Click on any product to shop.
Merry Everything...such a sweet sentiment from the Jingle All The Way stamp set. This card was created using the Woodland Embossing Folder on Crumb Cake paper. Sponging the tree trunks with white craft ink gives it that lightly touched by snow look. Torn paper pieces at the bottom with some glitter and 3 red birds cut using the Tree Builder Punch.
See all the confetti pieces inside the ornament, tree and star? Shaker cards! This is "To You & Yours Too"....a Stampin' Up! Kit. It makes 18 Shaker cards. I have a class to show you how to make these cards (email me or leave a comment) or you can work on them at home. You Can Do It!! Everything you need is in the kit. Almost...there is a stamp set that coordinates but there are ways to "make do"(email me or leave me a message)
Festival of Trees is one of my favorite Christmas Stamps because it is so Pretty and versatile and there is a coordinating Tree Punch. Stamped in Lost Lagoon ink give this card peaceful look. The paper in the background is from the Nordic Noel designers series paper pack. (This paper and the Lost Lagoon ribbon are both on the clearance rack!) Keep checking back on my blog and I bet you will see more of the cards I made with this stamp because I just can't stop myself. LOL!
