MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas.
I thought I would share with you today what got me started in stamping.  I saw this framed piece at a craft show 3 years ago....I kept circling it and looking at it and the crafter said, "I teach a class on how to make that picture and also cards."  I went to the class and made this beautiful picture and kept going to her classes and that was my start to Stampin Up and stamping.  (so thank you Julie Brancart!)

POINSETTIA

This is the card I designed for my Saturday morning class.  I made this card using the Stampin' Up! Festive Flower Builder Punch and I was AMAZED at how easy it was and the beautiful flower it created.  The black striped paper is actually vellum from the SU Winter Wonderland Designer Series Pack with a piece of whisper white adhered.  You can use this punch alone or with the coordinating stamp set "Jesus is the Reason."  For those that missed the class, on Monday I will be posting a YOUTUBE video on how I made this card.  One more thing...this punch and stamp set can be purchased as a bundle which means you can save 15%.  What do you think?

WHAT ARE FRAMELITS?

I was recently contacted by person new to stamping and she asked "what is a framelit?"  She was watching my YOUTUBE video on how to make my Santa Ghirardelli Candy Holder and was not familiar with the Deco Label Framelits which shaped the Santa body.  Framelits are a wonderful tool that perfectly cut out stamped images in all kinds of shapes and sizes.  They are thin metal shapes with a raised edge and when rolled through the Stampin Up Big Shot with a piece of cardstock or designer series paper (DSP) will easily and perfectly cut the shape.  They can be used as a back drop (giving a matted look) or you can use them in many other creative ways.  Here is a picture of the Deco Label Framelits.
If you have any other questions, please contact me:

FESTIVAL OF TREES

This is a very simple card made using the Festival of Trees stamp set.  I know I have said this before but I really like this stamp.  I like it because you can use it as simply as you want or really fuss with it.   I stamped the trees in Garden Green ink and punched it out using the Tree Punch.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Lots of Joy stamp set. I added a little texture with a snowflake edgelit.

MERRY EVERYTHING

Merry Everything...such a sweet sentiment from the Jingle All The Way stamp set.
This card was created using the Woodland Embossing Folder on Crumb Cake paper.  Sponging the tree trunks with white craft ink gives it that lightly touched by snow look.  Torn paper pieces at the bottom with some glitter and 3 red birds cut using the Tree Builder Punch.
